To fund your Folionet account, we offer several secure options. You can deposit funds via U.S. Bank Accounts, International Wire Transfers, Debit Cards (MasterCard), or by transferring your portfolio from another broker.
Security Note: For regulatory compliance, all deposits must originate from an account held in the same name as the Folionet account holder. Third-party transfers (cash or securities) will be automatically rejected.
US. Bank Accounts (ACH)
If you have a US. bank account in your name, you can link it to your investment account for commission-free deposits and withdrawals. This includes major banks (Chase, Bank of America, etc.), as well as FaceBank and Wise (USD accounts).
- Timeline: Requests placed before 4:00 PM ET are processed by the next business day.
- Fees: No commissions for ACH transfers. However, a $35 penalty is applied by our clearing firm for any rejected deposits (e.g., Insufficient Funds).
Linking your US Bank Account
- Instant Verification (Plaid): Use the "Instant Verification" option to securely log in with your bank credentials and link your account immediately.
- Manual Verification: If your bank is not listed on Plaid, enter your ACH Routing Number and Account Number. We will send two small "micro-deposits" (between $0.01 and $0.99) to your bank within 24–48 business hours. Once received, enter the exact amounts in the Folionet app to verify the link. Note: Three incorrect attempts will cancel the process for security.
Recurring Deposits (Auto-Invest)
Automate your savings by scheduling recurring transfers starting from $20. Choose your frequency (weekly, monthly, quarterly) and build your portfolio with discipline. You can cancel or modify these at any time with no additional cost.
Debit Card Deposits
- MasterCard: Accepted globally.
- Visa: Accepted for U.S.-issued cards only.
- Details: Funds are typically credited within 1 business day (if initiated before 4 PM ET). A variable processing fee applies; the exact cost will be displayed before you confirm the transaction.
International Wire Transfers
You can fund your account from your local bank outside the U.S.
- Fees: Folionet does not charge for incoming international wires (your bank may apply its own fees).
- Process: You must send your transfer receipt to support@folionet.com to validate the transaction. Without this, funds will be returned per regulations.
- Withdrawals: International withdrawals incur a $45 flat fee and require a specific form provided by our team.
Internal Transfers (Moving Funds)
Move money between your own Folionet accounts in 24–48 business hours.
- Restriction: Per US. Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws, new deposits cannot be moved or withdrawn for the first five (5) business days.
Account Transfers (ACATS)
Move your existing portfolio from another US. broker to Folionet via ACATS.
- Cost: Folionet does not charge for incoming ACATS (check if your current broker charges an exit fee).
- Timeline: 5 to 7 business days. Email support@folionet.com to request the transfer form.
