As a regulated financial institution in the United States, Folionet complies with the tax regulations established by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). This means that, depending on the type of account you hold and your country of residence, certain tax obligations on your investments may apply.
Our commitment is to offer transparency and regulatory compliance, facilitating access to tax documentation and providing support for questions. Folionet does not offer tax advice. For any tax-related inquiries, you can write to support@folionet.com and our team will assist you.
Depending on your country of residence, you may be required to declare your Folionet investment account as part of your annual tax obligations. While Folionet operates as a regulated financial institution in the United States, we do not provide personalized tax advice.
For this reason, we recommend consulting with a tax professional in your jurisdiction, who can properly guide you on how to declare your investments and comply with the applicable legal requirements.
Folionet provides clients with an annual tax document containing the information needed to assist with the tax return process, for both domestic and international accounts. This document is available within the platform and it is the client's responsibility to use it in accordance with their country of residence's tax obligations.
This document is generated during the first quarter of each year. Once available, you will receive a notification in your account. To access it, go to the Documents section and select the Tax Documents option.
The type of document you receive will depend on the nature of your account. For international accounts, the document is called Form 1042-S. For domestic accounts, you will receive Form 1099 (1099-B / 1099-DIV).
